The Shadow Cipher (York, #1)

Laura Ruby's first book in this series, The Shadow Cipher, was a great book. I loved the character development, the plot, and the pace. Great idea for an alternative universe. The book is well paced, not too fast or slow, with virtually no slow parts. It draws you in right from the beginning and leaves you wanting more. The best part was how real it felt, even though it still had that thrill of a mystery and the imagination from fantasy. I loved the book. However, I felt that a few problems went unsolved, which was my main problem with this book. Rating? 90%. Awaiting the second book to come out.
